Chris Dantzler, founder of the Extra Mile Club, is a native of Beaufort, South Carolina and a 1987 graduate of Beaufort High School. He has been dedicated to this program since 2008.  His goal has always been to develop excellent students, athletes, and citizens.

Chris was honorably discharged as a disabled veteran from the U.S. Army in 1994.  During his time in the Army, he served in Desert Storm and Desert Shield.  Chris is currently employed at the Naval Hospital of Beaufort and is an entrepreneur. He loves spending time with his immediate family and his EMC family.

2008 - The Extra Mile Club began providing mentors as role models for twenty-two young men in order to teach them integrity,  accountability,  compassion and respect.  Chris Dantzler began spending time with  these young men to help them perfect their athletic skills by using something they all loved, football.

2014The Extra Mile Club became a 501c3 organization. In 2004, an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) program for boys and girls ages 6-12 was started.

2016The Extra Mile Club formed a Board of Directors.
